Removal of beer stains

Removing beer stains is sometimes necessary after an evening with friends or an afternoon watching sports on TV. Ways of getting rid of those stains depend mainly on the kind of fabric.

On wool or cotton, remove stains by dabbing them with a cloth dampened with water and a little washing up liquid.

On a fragile fabric, remove stains by dabbing them with a cloth dampened with methylated spirits or water mixed with ammonia.

On a silk fabric, remove stains by dabbing them with a cloth moistened with a mixture of equal parts of water and methylated spirits.
